Before I start, I think it is really important to state this – if you live in the dust cloud that is Dhaka city, and spend half your day commuting from one end of town to the other, you really should take advantage of the luxury that is a shower and indulge in it everyday.
But sometimes, there just isn't the time. You've got a big meeting coming up, and you may have spent too long preparing in the morning to jump into the shower. It's exam week and you're going mad with all the last minute revision. You've had such a long day, and couldn't you just make it through this dawaat looking presentable, and then take a nice, long nighttime bath before collapsing in bed?
For all the lazy people out there, here are a few tips on how to fake the showered look when you haven't actually showered.
Maintain the mop
If you've got long hair, or hair that dries out if washed too often, then it might just be a good idea to take a five min no-shampoo shower quite frequently. But if you don't have the time to properly clean your hair, then dry shampoo could be your new best friend. Batiste is a relatively popular choice and comes with a lot of options for different types of hair. If not Batiste, you will definitely find dry shampoo at Bangla Shoppers and Lavender. Worst case scenario, if you can't find any but desperately need your hair to look less greasy, try applying some clear shampoo at the roots, massaging it in and using a moist towel to remove. Use the hairdryer for a few minutes and it'll definitely bring out a shine in your hair.

Bring out the top knot
If it looks like you're bound for a bad hair day with no opportunity for a proper wash and styling any time soon, the top knot is one of the best ways, and certainly the easiest way, to hide gym hair or a bed head. In fact, many of us ladies will testify that it actually works best when your hair is slightly greasy and less likely to slip out, especially if you have silky or straight hair. Guys could easily do the same with a man bun as well.

Wipe away the oils
If you tend to be on the road a lot, make sure you always carry a set of cleansing wipes with you. Especially in a climate as hot and humid as ours, even if you shower a few times a day, it's a good idea to have these handy. My personal favourite is the Body Shop Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes. You'll find a range of different ones in stores in Dhaka, such as Bangla Shoppers, Dhali, Unimart and more.

Reduce the baggage
When you're trying to look fresh and focused for a long day, your eyes will speak for yourself. Make sure you get enough sleep but barring that, you don't want to turn up with puffy eyes and a haggard look on your face. Invest in some refreshing eye cream, because it's never too early to start fighting the eye bags. If you're in a last minute rush and can't find anything, try rubbing some ice under your eyes and over the rest of your face to give yourself that hydrated look. The chill might just shock you into being wide awake too.
