Kamol Baroi, the master griller of Nando’s Bangladesh will compete against master grillers from all over the world to win the title of Nando’s International Grillers’ Challenge 2018. Kamol Baroi is this year’s master griller from Nando’s Bangladesh, who competed against three best grillers of Nando’s Gulshan 1, Banani and Dhanmondi and won the title for Nando’s Gulshan 2.
Grilling is an art, and to master this art our grillers need skill, patience and hard work. Nando’s has created this platform for its grillers so that they can master this art of grilling. Every year, the best grillers from 2000 Nando’s outlets from all over the world compete to show off their grilling skills and are evaluated on certain operational expertise that makes Nando’s PERi-PERi Chicken unique. Marks are set for hygiene, racking and loading grills, perfect flame grill marks, consistent skin coloring, cutting technique as well as tenderness, juiciness and temperature.
The event finale was held in Nando’s Gulshan 1 last Wednesday. It was actually a month-long process in preparing the grillers on Nando’s standard operating procedures for the competition. The judge panel for evaluating the grillers included celebrity judges as well as one from the guests. The judge panel included celebrity singer Bappa Mazumder, famous ramp model Shabnaz Sadia Emi, former Lux Channel i Superstar finalist Ismat Zerin Chaity and executive chef- Jed Archdeacon of AMARI Dhaka. Special guest Swad Chowdhury and Shahin Mohammed Shamiul Haque, Head of Business, MGH Restaurants Private Limited were also present in determining the finale champion. With the whole kitchen at their disposal, each griller was given only 15 minutes to prepare and serve their dishes in front of the panel. After a fierce competition and evaluation by the judges, Kamol Baroi, the talented griller from Nando’s Gulshan 2 won the title of this year’s master griller.
