'Quality education is quintessential in building a better nation'

UCEP Bangladesh holds celebration ceremony for GPA-5 earners in SSC Vocational Exam

To celebrate the excellent result of the students from UCEP AK Khan technical school in the SSC vocational exam in 2018 held under Technical Education Board, UCEP Bangladesh organized a celebration ceremony on July 23.

All of the 60 students who took part in the exam from the school have successfully passed and secured GPA 5.

The ceremony was hosted by Md. Ashraf Uddin, Regional Manager of Chattogram region, UCEP Bangladesh. Md. Abdus Salam, Chairman, Chattogram Development Authority, was present as the Chief Guest in the event.

Among the other guests, Golam Newaz Babul, General Manager, Shirt Makers Group and Chairman of UCEP CEPZ Employers’ Committee, Ekramul Haque, Managing Director of Saleh Still Industries and Vice-Chairman of UCEP Nasirabad Employers’ Committee, Rezaul Karim, Deputy General Manager of Ispahani Marshal Ltd., Abu Taher, President of SafaMotaleb Degree College and eminent social worker, Engineer Joy Prokash Barua, Regional Manager, Dhaka South Region, were present at the celebration ceremony.

In his speech, Chief Guest Abdus Salam said, “UCEP Bangladesh continues to support and facilitate skill development and job placement of underprivileged children. UCEP Bangladesh runs operations at all divisional cities of Bangladesh including Chattogram by providing general and technical education since 1972. In this regards, the achievement of UCEP AK Khan Technical School is truly inspirational.”

“Quality education is very quintessential in building a better nation and UCEP Bangladesh is acting as a lighthouse in spreading quality education to the underserved communities of the country.This achievement should be the pride of the entire nation. The guidance and support of Honorable Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, has enhanced such development in education,” he added.

The chief guest handed over crests to the successful students at the end of ceremony.
