Checkmate Events started its journey in 2011, providing full-fledged wedding solutions service. M Aminur Rahman and Sadia Afrin, who were fresh graduates from North South University back then, initiated Checkmate with the goal to provide quality service to consumers. Starting its corporate solutions journey in 2014, Checkmate Events has been providing full fledged documentation services, including photography and video documentation to weddings and corporate events.
Checkmate, which has now become a leading name in the documentation sector, organized their 'Annual Keynote 2018 - #What_Next?' on April 8 at EMK Centre, Dhanmondi 27, where creative coach of the team, M Aminur Rahman talked about their journey of six years and their contributions to the sector.
With the tag-line 'Unfolding an avenue of possibilities,' Checkmate's annual keynote mainly focused on their innovative approach regarding content presentation, and the launch of their calendar for the Bengali New Year 1425. When asked about their one-of-a-kind project, M Aminur Rahman said, “This project initially came into existence with an idea to conquer – that’s what Sadia and I dreamed of nearly seven years back. Team Checkmate has come quite a long way from then, with the goal to go further. Today, with so many emotions binding around it’s great to be finally launching our unique project. All my thanks goes to the brides, clients, well-wishers, team-mates and so on.”
“Basically, we started Checkmate back when my other half and I were students. That constant restlessness to do something different and keeping ourselves engaged in interesting things drove us to start this. We soon realized, serving our clients and making someone’s special day even more special was something that we could hardly let go of. Since then we focused on Checkmate Events as our only aim and career goal. We look forward to exploring more horizons through this venture,” said the forever smiling, Sadia Afrin.
The calendar was unveiled with the presence of their partners, Gala – Makeover Studio and Salon by Navin Ahmed and 6 Yards Story, along with the brides who became the faces of this calendar. Checkmate also announced a partnership deal with Gala – Makeover Studio & Salon by Navin Ahmed where brides can get a flat 10% discount if they confirm their bookings from either Checkmate or Gala Makeover Salon.
At the event, the husband-wife duo expressed their utmost gratefulness to their partners, brides and the devoted souls who were a part of this project. A digital version of the calendar was released on the official Facebook page of Checkmate Events on April 14, and a limited number of print distribution will be available from the end of the month.
