The salon is built over 1700 square feet area and is facilitated with 7 seats. They also have three VIP rooms for special engagement and services. They don’t believe in keeping their customers waiting, for this, they are open every day of the week from 9 am to 10 pm; the exact reasons why T&H’s signature services carry the ’Royal’ tag.
If a client doesn’t know what haircut to get, they follow a joint consultation method; the manager and the barber assist the client in the decision-making process. They try to understand what the client wants, what style will best suit him, and what style he can carry through his day to day business.
The same process is carried out for all the services. For every single service, they use different kinds of products and follow a step by step process which is why it takes 45 minutes for a shave. Here, the barbers are specialized in consulting with the clients on what suits the hair and skin the most.
T&H has five lines of products and each product has its own unique history. Their wide range of products come for all types of skin and hair. All the products are manufactured in London and are only available at T&H outlets.
I went to T&H to try out some of their services. The most interesting thing I noticed was that they offer some services that I haven't yet found in other salons -- ear/nose waxing, and ear/eyebrows/cheek threading. It might sound unusual but there are many people who have wanted to avail these services but couldn't and now, they can.
How are they different?
All traditional salons use products that are available in the nearest market or are easily accessible. You basically pay for the service and the products are not a major part of it. Whereas, T&H use a line of products that are manufactured by T&H and can only be purchased from their outlets.
The Dhaka outlet offers two kinds of yearly memberships. The Royal membership comes with unlimited services throughout the week. The Classic one comes with unlimited services on weekdays. Both membership types offer a 10 percent discount on all products and 5 gift vouchers for friends and family.

How did it start
“I think it was about time we brought in luxury men’s grooming to Bangladesh. The idea came from exposure, my father and brother both use T&H abroad and they liked the idea of such luxury services. So, we thought of bringing the franchise here from India.”
Are there any competitors in this market?
“At the moment, there is no competition especially when it comes to men’s grooming products. People in Bangladesh have access to a range of products that are just as good as ours when they go abroad. Surprisingly, men who are interested in self-grooming have heard of us and most likely have used our products and are still using it.”
“We are kind of, in a sense, at the forefront of men’s luxury grooming, similar to luxury car brands, shoes; men who are keen on using luxury products will also be keen to use our products.”
Don’t you think the market is a niche for such a business?
“The market is not as niche as we think. We have had men coming in from all sectors, anyone who knows about T&H has visited our store and tried out the services. The response rate is way better than expected as we have not done any sort of marketing on social media yet.”
