UCB gets a new outlook

For the first time since its conception, United Commercial Bank (UCB) has changed their logo. To commemorate the event, the bank organised a ceremony on September 17 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).

Despite being perceived as a first generation bank, UCB has taken leaps in modernity and technological innovations by incorporating CBS in their system. As a result, renowned international finance magazine “Global Finance” has awarded UCB with the “Best Emerging Market Bank” award in 2014. Thus, the new logo is created to change customer perception and bring them closer. It also ensures that the combined efforts of the bank, along with the hard-working and empowered people of the nation, are the triggers that spur Bangladesh to new heights of success.

M A Hashem, chairman of UCB, began the ceremony with a speech, followed by Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, chairman of the executive committee and Muhammed Ali, managing Director of UCB respectively.

A showcase of the Bangladeshi drama Nachua and shadow-art Prachyonat followed their words. Prominent singers Runa Laila and Rejowana Chowdhury Borna gave a glamorous performance as well. A troupe of Hungarian performers finally revealed the brand new logo through an elaborate 4D mapping.
