● Going to the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) is a must. It’s one of the most sacred sites hanging on a cliff 3120 metres above sea level.

● The Buddha Dordenma, a pilgrim for local people is open to all and you must hike up behind Buddha to get a terrific view from above.

● You can do Dzong hopping in Thimphu. Dzong are fortresses which were used as administrative centres. Most remain the same and some have been turned into monasteries.

● You can make a short stop at “Simply Bhutan”. It is a live museum which will give you a taste of Bhutan’s food, culture, and tradition. You can try your hand at archery there and put on the traditional attire to get some reminiscing pictures.
