Inauguration of Dan Cake Dessert Genius 2018
For the first time, leading food brand Dan Cake has taken the initiative to organize a country wide dessert making competition.
Interested participants from all over the country can participate in this competition. Initial selection round of this contest will be held in eight divisional cities of our country. Throughout the series of the events, the top twenty five participants will be selected for the final round. Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel Sous chef Fazle Rabbi and culinary expert Afroza Shumi will be part of the jury panel for this competition.
The competition was launched at a press conference held in the capital recently. Minhaj Hossain, head of marketing of Dan Cake discussed various important issues related to the competition to the audience. A micro site was launched for this competition. Interested participants can participate in this competition through this site as well as through Dan Cake’s Facebook page and through courier.
Completing multiple stages of this competition and by proving one's supremacy over all others, three participants will be chosen as winners. The first prize winner of the competition gets the opportunity to travel to Denmark along with a companion and also visit their factory. Apart from that, the second and third prize winners will receive cash rewards.
Desserts were beautifully showcased for the guests. The crowd enjoyed the sweet food. It had to be good as the dessert station ran empty really quick. Plus, there was a huge gathering at that station. Meanwhile the sweet tooth’s enjoyed the sugary course, varieties of demonstrations on how to make fusion with sweets was portrayed on the screen. Different recipes like how to make an ice cream sandwich were also displayed at a presentation to give the competitors an overall idea.
Dan Foods Limited's chief operating officer -- Firoz Ahmed, head of sales -- Ekthiar Reza, head of marketing -- Minhaj Hossain, head of finance --Jonayed Khan, head of factory-- Mahfuz Khan, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel's sous chef-- Fazley Rabbi and culinary expert Afroza Naznin Shumi were present in the ceremony along with other officials.
After the inauguration ceremony, the officials and jury members responded to various questions and queries by different new media and thanked everyone for attending the event. The event ended with a blissful cultural event followed by dinner.
