Jaago Foundation’s first batch of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinees have achieved remarkable results with a 100% pass rate under NCTB’s English version curriculum.
The results mark a milestone for Jaago, with 20 candidates participating in the examination after 10 years of study.
These 20 students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a majority working to help out their families.
“This achievement needs to be shared and nurtured for not only the first batch of our SSC graduate children but for all those who do not have the luxuries that many of us take for granted. It will serve as a model that can also work for thousands of underprivileged children”, said Korvi Rakshand, the founder of Jaago.
Jaago was recognized by UNESCO and awarded 'UNESCO Award' for ICT in Education in 2017 for the successful implementation of its Online School Model.
Jaago currently runs three conventional schools and nine online schools, teaching three thousand students across 11 districts of Bangladesh.
