Commuters in Dhaka, mostly office goers, faced severe inconvenience on Wednesday as public transport services started carrying passengers not more than 50% of their seating capacity, while hiking fares by 60%. These changes came following a fresh set of directives issued by the government to control the rapidly increasing Covid-19 transmissions. The government on Tuesday increased fares for public buses, effective from Wednesday for the next 14 days
