Covid-19: Another round of Chinese medical aid for Bangladesh handed over

Bangladesh will get priority if China successfully develops a Covid-19 vaccine

Chinese government has donated more medical logistics to Bangladesh to fight the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

FM Borhan Uddin, director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received the medical logistics at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Monday.

The medical supplies includes– nine High-flow heated respiratory humidifiers, 18 High-flow heated respiratory humidifiers Solution-A, 18 High-flow heated respiratory humidifiers Solution-B, and nine High-flow heated respiratory humidifiers Shelf, reports UNB.

Representatives of the health directorate and Chinese Embassy here were also present.

Earlier on June 21, China said Bangladesh will get priority in terms of cooperation and support if they can successfully develop a vaccine for the coronavirus.

"Of course, Bangladesh is our important friend and Bangladesh will surely get priority," Deputy Chief of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Hualong Yan said.

Earlier, a 10-member Chinese medical expert team visited designated hospitals, quarantine centres, and testing centres in Bangladesh.

They discussed Covid-19 pandemic with Bangladeshi counterparts, and made calibrated propositions for containment and treatment.
