Bacchu Mia tested positive for Covid-19 on May 4
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-Charge Md Bacchu Mia, 54, has returned to his duty after winning the battle against Covid-19.
He rejoined his post on Sunday morning.
Bacchu said: “I was admitted to the coronavirus unit at DMCH. The doctors released me after my test result came back negative and I returned to work afterwards.”
After feeling feverish for some time, Bacchu gave his samples for testing to the DMCH. On the evening of May 4, his test result came back positive, confirming that he had the viral infection.
The outpost, where six police and three Ansar members are stationed, was locked down after that, Bachchu told the Dhaka Tribune.
A native of Nagarpur in Tangail, Bachchu has been serving as the in-charge of the DMCH police outpost for a long time.
