Apply online for e-visa to Vietnam, says the nation’s embassy

The cost of applying varies, depending on a single-entry or multiple entry visa request

People wishing to visit the land of Vietnam to enjoy its breathtaking mountains, vast oceans, and to bask in the allure of its enthralling ancient town ambiance, can rejoice. The Embassy of Vietnam has confirmed that applying for a Vietnamese VISA is more simplified than ever now with three easy methods. 

One can apply through any travel agency or apply online, and within 3 - 4 working days, s/he will receive the visa. Second, one can apply at the Embassy of Vietnam. Finally, one can apply for an e-visa online. 

By filling up a form and making a credit card payment prior to the visit, anyone will be able to receive a visa sticker after landing in Vietnam. The approval letter will be sent to the applicant's email within two days of completing the application and payment procedure. The cost of applying varies, depending on a single-entry or multiple entry visa request. 

For an e-visa, applicants have to pay $15 to apply for a one month single-entry visa. An additional $25 needs to be paid after arriving in Vietnam. 

CEO of Privileged World Travel Club, Masud Parvez, said the travel agency charges Tk4,000 for e-visas. The approval letter for the visa will be sent to the applicant's email within 2 – 3 working days. 

After landing in Vietnam, the visa sticker will be given after paying $25, or Privileged World Travel Club can arrange for it at a total cost of Tk9,500. 

It is essential to carry a printed copy of the approval letter, colour printed or otherwise, and two passport size photos to receive the visa sticker in Vietnam.
