Huawei and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) have signed an MoU to set up the first “ICT Academy” in Singapore, with the aim of supporting ICT skill development through joint research, education and training programs, according to a press release.
Huawei ICT Academy, also known as Huawei Authorized Information and Network Academy (HAINA), is a partnership project between Huawei and renowned universities from all around the world.
According to Huawei, collaborating universities provide students with Huawei ICT technology and courses, as well as certifications.
Huawei is currently cooperating with over 350 universities to open Huawei ICT academies around the world. Last year, the academies trained over 12,500 students globally.
If universities of rapidly developing countries like Bangladesh become a part of this program, students can have the opportunity to learn new and relevant industry skills to fulfil their ambitions with science and technology, the press release reads.
