The largest global opportunity discovery platform for young people across the world, Youth Opportunities launched its Bangla website on Tuesday.
State Minister for ICT Affairs Zunaid Ahmed Palak opened the website at Software Technology Park in Dhaka's Janata Tower.
Youth Opportunities provides equal and easy access to different opportunities to the global youth for free.
For its value-additive work, Youth Opportunities has received several awards including the Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, Forbes Under 30 in Asia etc.
Last year, it has launched a mobile application which received the National Mobile Application Award from the the government's ICT Division and is being used by more than 50,000 users across the world.
Young people all over Bangladesh can find information on several national and international opportunities in Bangla.
“The website will be a great platform for the Bangladeshi youth to get timely and easy access to several opportunities, and help them in self-development” said Palak.
Co-founders of Youth Opportunities Osama Bin Noor and Makshudul AM Manik spoke about the services Youth Opportunities is providing at the launching program.
“Many Bangladeshi youth are still not comfortable in English, and that discourages them to apply for different opportunities and lag behind. We are certain that Youth Opportunities Bangla will lead them to towards their personal development” said Osama,
Makshud said: “Youth Opportunities will ensure greater awareness and easier access of several national and international opportunities to rural and urban Bangladeshi youth”
The program was also attended by senior government officials, prominent social and business leaders, respected academics and media personalities.
