Google's earbuds can translate 40 languages in real time

Update : 05 Oct 2017, 05:27 PM
Google has come up with Pixel Buds -- the company's answer to Apple's Airpods -- that can translate 40 languages in real time. The search giant unveiled Pixel and Google Home among other products in its annual hardware event on Wednesday. The Pixel Buds was one of the most essential gadgets that the organisation has introduced to its consumers in the event, reports Inc. The earbuds connect to smartphones via Bluetooth and can translate spoken language instantly by using Google softwares. Google earbuds translate with the help of Google Translate and Pixel. The device understands the users and starts working if they tap the right earbud and says something like "Help me speak French." A person standing nearby the earbuds user can speak out loud in French and the device will provide English translation to the user. Later, when the earbud user uses English the device will translate it in French and play it on Pixel’s speaker. And the device can perform all the work only a second or two after the person stops speaking. The device costs Tk13,055 ($159), same as the price of Apple’s AirPods. The Pixel Buds can be used with the iPhone too, but only Pixel owners will be able to use tools like Translate and the Google Assistant. The device has no button to adjust volume or change music tracks. The users will have to control that by swiping on the device. According to a blog post on Google's site, the device can play music tracks for 24 consecutive hours without needing a charge. Google has planned to launch the product in the market in November this year.
