Held from March 7 till 8, the programme, themed #BeBoldForChange, was attended by all the female members of the DHL Women’s Network Bangladesh.
International family planning organisation Marie Stopes Bangladesh and a group of health experts and professionals enlightened the programme participants on how to prevent and control breast and cervical cancer.
All female participants were also provided a cervical cancer screening and vaccination session for prevention and early detection of the diseases.
Speakers stressed on the importance of being proactive about women’s health. They also emphasised the need for early screening and detection since that increases the chances of survival.
DHL Global Forwarding Bangladesh Country Manager Md Nooruddin Chowdhury, DHL Express Bangladesh Country Manager Desmond Quiah, and Dr Jinnatunnesa Koli from Marie Stopes Bangladesh were among those present at the event.
