Kludio and Thrive announce world food day partnership to bring healthy food to hungry children of Bangladesh
Six million Bangladeshi children attend classes hungry each day. In honour of World Food Day on October 16, Kludio will partner with Thrive to help bring this number down. From October16 to 22, Kludio App users can add any amount of taka to their order and the support will go directly to support Thrive’s mission of delivering healthy food to hungry children and their families.
“At Kludio, the focus is to create food and a service ecosystem that customers will love, we care about how people feel when they order food,” said CEO Kishwar Hashemee. “The partnership between Kludio and Thrive is a perfect match. We’re both focused on improving lives and the planet through food delivery,” added Priscilla Heffelfinger, co-founder and CEO of Thrive.
Kludio is the first digital food court in Bangladesh that allows users to choose different flavours delivered hygienically to their doorstep. The focus is to maintain high quality of hygiene within an affordable price range, providing consumers with variety, so they can mix and match according to their preference. Be it scrumptious pizzas from Shera Pizza and Dough on the Go, luscious burgers from Hero Burger, flavorsome snacks from FryBox, South Asian delicacies from ChowBox, or Deshi food from Deshio -- Kludio App has it all! The company has 20,000 app users since its launch in August 2020.
Similar to Kludio, Thrive was founded to fill the food gap. Children need nutrition to grow and learn. Since 2012, Thrive has partnered with schools and communities to deliver healthy food to children who need it most. Each week, Thrive delivers food to over 12,000 children and has an immediate wait-list of over 2,500 children and millions more who face daily hunger. With Covid-19, Thrive has pivoted an initiative to deliver essential dry food packs on a monthly basis to its children and their family members.
