Rose woke up with a hole under her left breast. As an empty, hollow feeling in her chest is omnipresent, she didn’t feel any different, much less understand the existence of it. Until she undressed.
Seized with Panic, she thinks about what to do with the client laying on her bed. She tries keeping her top on and get this over with. Unfortunately, he takes it off on a whim and almost immediately screams.
Rose's boss, after negotiating a refund with the client, warns Rose that she wants her fixed share of money at the end of the month no matter what.
Rose already knows today is wasted and decides to go home.
She sat down on the bus stop bench beside a tall guy with a guitar on his back.
He eyes her secretly, Rose can tell.
"Hey, how much?" he says hesitantly.
Rose lets out a barely audible sigh, he's a newbie, would have been a good client.
"What do you do?" she asks, pointing to his guitar, "In a band?"
"I am a musician. I sing, play the guitar."
"You can afford me with a musician's money? You must be good."
He chuckles," Would you like to hear?"
He strums his guitar, humming the tunes of the happiest song she knows, the lullaby her mother would sing, the song she would sing with her sisters on idle afternoons, the reminder of a home that had been.
Rose carefully touches her hole, it's filling up slowly.

Melody, a 17 year old girl was excited when she got selected for performing along with her band in the Music Fest 2020 organized by the International Musicians Association (IMA). The fest was scheduled to be held on March 25, 2020 and the participants all over the world rehearsed keeping the big event in mind. It was a very big deal for Melody and her band who were going to perform a cover of the song "Smells like teen spirit" by "Nirvana" and few of their original tracks. Everything was running smoothly as planned until the sudden lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic forcing the IMA to postpone the fest before 3 days. All the participants were disheartened and Melody was no exception as she had thought it was going to be her first ever exposure. Meanwhile the organizers came up with a brilliant idea of a Live Social Media Music Fest in order to create awareness and collect fund for the poor and destitute. Jim and Jena, Scarlet Heart, La Aurora etc bands were going to play live along with Melody and friends. The live music fest was streamed by 591 million people and the previous discontenment was replaced by a sense of pride as they collected 4 Billion USD for the fund. Melody hopes to perform infront of a huge crowd someday. She dreams to see the crowd head banging to her songs and as a return to their applause she will encore.
