The School celebrated the 49th Independence Day of the country by inaugurating a library for its students with more than 700 books
AIM Initiative Foundation is a non-profit organization in Dhaka which is providing free education, healthcare facilities and skill development activities for the underprivileged children of the Meradiya area. It currently runs a free school with 76 students and on March 26, the event “Donate your Story Books to the Students of AIM School, Meradiya” was organized for the students of the school so that they can experience and enjoy the power of learning and reading from their school library just like any other privileged children of their ages do.
The AIM School, Meradiya celebrated the 49th Independence Day of the country by inaugurating a library for its students from KG level to class IV with more than 700 books, including story books, novels, poetry books, language books, short stories, magazines, comic books, etc. both in the English and Bengali language. The event started with the recognition of the significance of the Independence Day, along with the inauguration of the library and ended with the organizing of the books in the library.
Story books are the most impactful addition in a child's life with dreams and hopes for a successful and stable life while growing up - this was one of the major intentions of the event.
This month-long event was started with the view of collecting story books for the children, so that the underprivileged children can also learn to dream for a better life and future for themselves and learn to know the importance of a standardized life style and living. The event became highly successful by bagging more than 700 books from more than 30 donors .
