Easy Flute School celebrates first anniversary

Online flute tutorial provider ‘Easy Flute School’ celebrated its first anniversary on March 8 with a flute concert at Chhayanaut in Dhaka

The Indian classical flute course is designed to be comprehensive and lessons start from complete beginner-level. Taught by Murtaza Kabir Murad, the lessons are available for free on the  Easy Flute School’s YouTube channel. The channel currently contains 40 tutorial videos and gained over 56 thousand subscribers. 

First, of its kind, the online course has attracted attention nationally and internationally with thousands of people from across the world subscribing to the YouTube channel. 

The tutor Murtaza Kabir Murad is a multi-instrumentalist classical musician and a faculty at  Chhayanaut music school, where he teaches classical flute. He has over 30 years of experience in Indian classical music and is regarded as one of the foremost classical flutists in the country. 

Murad started his music education by studying the tabla under the tutelage of Alauddin. Later on, he studied shehnai with Shamsur Rahman. He met with the renowned classical flutist Hariprasad Chaurasia in 1997 when he took up the flute.
