Today is the death anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. He was a poet, writer, and musician—and was designated the ‘Rebel Poet.’ One of his most popular poems is ‘Chol Chol Chol,’ which is also known as a battle anthem. In honour of the great poet’s birthday several TV channels will telecast special programming, which will feature songs, dances, and dramas authored by the Rebel Poet
At 11pm singer Ferdous Ara’s music show titled “Dur Gogoner Prio” will be telecast.
At 11:10pm a special drama will be telecast, titled “Khanjanpur.” It is an adaptation of a story by Kazi Nazrul Islam. The script was prepared by Mohammad Ali and it was directed by Sazzad Sumon. The drama will star Manoj Kumar, Shabnam Faria, Naznin Chumki, Ahsanur Rahman, Forhad Limon, and many others.
A special dance program, “Unnoto Momo Shir,” will air at 9pm. The artists who will perform are: Rudmila Prionti Chowdhury, Arisha Chowdhury, Noholi Islam, Labonno Das, Mahinur Mahzabin, Anubha Chowdhury, and Modhurima Ray. The dance choreographer is Amit Chowdhury, and the performers belong to the “Shadhona” dance troupe.
