A music video, as a tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be released on Wednesday, August 15, the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation. Feedback’s vocalist Shahnur Rahman Lumin sang the tribute song titled “Bangabandhu.”

The music video was filmed in Meherpur’s Mujibnagar, and Bangabandhu Museum located at Dhanmondi Rd 32. Police Superintendent Dewan Lalon Ahmed penned the song drawing inspiration from Bangabandhu’s fighting and rebel life.

JR Sumon did the composition, and Syed Tanvir Ahmed of “Birangona” and “Pochishe March” fame directed the music video.

“The lyrics and tune of the song really touched me. The song was written by a police official. The pain of losing one’s father is the theme of his writing and it really touched my heart,” said Lumin. “To have sung a song for a leader such as Bangabandhu, makes me very fortunate. The newer generations will relate to Bangabandhu.”

The lyricist Dewan said: “I have love for my country. I have the great liberation war within my heart. I have Bangabandhu within my heart. This song was made to transfer Bangabandhu’s memories to the newer generations.”

The song has been made under the banner of Purple Vision, and will be released on the G series YouTube channel.
