Deepto TV from July 14 will start airing a 75-episode new drama series, titled “Moddhobortini,” based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore of same name.
Produced by the channel, “Moddhobortini” was written by Ahmed Hirok Khan and directed by Raju Khan.
The series’ director recently said: “Rabindranath Tagore is forever modern to me. And I do not think his story exactly needs to be set in the classic time period. So, we decided to adapt the story for 2018.”
“The series follows the main characters- Nibaran, Hara Sundori and Shoilo Bala from the short story. This project was very sensitive, so we had to change the script several times accordingly. Hopefully the audience will like it,” added Raju.
The series was shot at Deepto TV’s set, Gazipur’s Ulukhola and different locations in Dhaka. Some of the scenes were also shot on a Chandpur-bound launch.
Actors Sohana Saba, Anisur Rahman Milon, Doly Jahur, Shatabdi Wadud and Nabila, among others, will star in the drama.
