Apart from becoming Lux Bangladesh’s brand ambassador, she will get the opportunity to work on television and feature film projects of Impress Telefilm
Mim Mantasha has been crowned as the winner of Lux Super Star 2018.
She was announced winner by the judges at the Grand Finale held at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre in Dhaka Friday evening.
As the champion of the competition, Mim received Tk5 lakh, a brand new car and the opportunity to become the brand ambassador of Lux Bangladesh.
She will also get the opportunity to receive training at Bangladesh Film and Television Academy, and to work on television and feature film projects of Impress Telefilm.
Sarwat Ajad Brishti and Samia Athoi were also chosen as the first runner up and second runner up of this edition of Bangladesh’s biggest beauty pageant.
Sarwat received Tk4 lakh prize money and Samia received Tk3 lakh.
This year’s judges panel of Channel i Presents Lux Super Star was comprised of film star Arifin Shuvoo, model and actor Mou, and singer Tahsan.
At the grand finale, Cultural Affairs Minister and actor Asaduzzaman Noor, media personality and actor Aly Zaker, and actor Ishita were also present as guest judges.
Previous Lux Super Stars Mim, Momo and Mehazabien had come together on the same stage with special performances. There were also performances from Lux Stars Nazifa, Supriya, Swarna, Heera and Samia, and popular singer and rock band Nemesis’ vocalist Zohad Reza Chowdhury.
Mim Mantasha, Samia Athoi, Sarwat Azad Bristi, Ishrat Zaheen, and Nabila Afrose were the top five finalists of this year’s edition of the beauty pageant.
The results were based on the judges’ points given during the finale, votes from the audience, and points from previous rounds.
Mim Mantasha is a final year student at Jahangirnagar University’s (JU) Fine Arts Department.
This was the second Lux Super Star title from the same institution. Zakia Bari Mamo, who won the competition in 2006, was also a student of JU’s Drama and Dramatics Department.
