Arirang was the first Korean restaurant in Dhaka, established in 1979, basically 37 years ago, and clings to a set number of staunched foreigners and Bengali clients, who has been enjoying their delicacies for years.
They offer a wide-range of traditional Korean dishes. Among these, the Beef/Seafood BBQ, popularly known as Bulgogi holds a perfect flavour of Korean spices mingled perfectly together, to create the mouth-watering balance between meat or seafood, which is one of the most wanted dishes served in the restaurant. They have their delicious Assorted Sushi Platter, well liked by everybody and serving a variety of mixed sushi's, that include shrimp sushi, salmon sushi, eel sushi, and many more.
They also have other signature dishes, such as, Steamed Shrimp Dumpling, a perfectly steamed assortment, neither undercooked nor overcooked. Prawn Tempura - perfectly fried with fresh prawns, the Eel Fish Teriyaki has a very nice and tangy flavour and cooked to perfection, Mixed Jeon is another dish, consisting of lightly fried vegetables with a thin crust, Ginger Chicken is a tangy flavoured dish cooked perfectly with hints of ginger, Lean Beef Ribs is basically a dish made out of imported beef, cooked right in front of your eyes, and so is Short Ribs Galbi and Korean Fried Noodles, a dish made from glass noodles, wild mushrooms, and vegetables. You can even end your meal withthe flavoursome Cinnamon tea, a drink you would go back for, again and again!
Arirang is one of the few restaurants, that imports all it's ingredients from abroad, except for the vegetables, in order to serve them fresh. Recently, it has moved to a new venue, at the second floor of RM Center, in Gulshan Avenue (above Agora). To maintain the safety of the valued customers, they have cctv camera's installed inside the restaurant along with other emergency exits.
