More rain likely across Bangladesh

Highest temperature recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius in Tarash

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of Bangladesh in the 24 hours from 9am on Saturday.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places in Rangpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions, and at one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions, with moderately heavy falls at isolated places in Rangpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Chittagong divisions, said a BMD bulletin issued on Saturday morning.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country.

The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius in Tarash, while Saturday’s lowest temperature was 21 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded at 57mm in Feni.

The sun sets at 5:53pm on Saturday and rises at 5:48am on Sunday in the capital.
