Rose's Batwoman will debut during the DC crossover event in December
TV network CW has cast Ruby Rose as “Batwoman” for the upcoming TV series as part of the “Arrowverse.”
Earlier, CW announced that the live-action series revolving around the character was in development.
“The Vampire Diaries” and “Smallville” executive producer Caroline Dries is developing the project with DC mastermind Greg Berlanti. Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries) is penning the script.

CW wanted to cast an openly gay actress to portray the role. Rose came out as a lesbian at the age of 12 for which she suffered verbal taunts and physical abuse from her schoolmates.
Her credits include Netflix's “Orange Is the New Black” and “The Meg,” “Pitch Perfect 3,” and “John Wick: Chapter 2.”
