ULAB’s CES organizes workshop on diversity, tolerance
Students from different universities completed an online course that focuses on the promotion of diversity and tolerance
The Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) at ULAB on Thursday organized a workshop titled “Diversity and Tolerance in Bangladesh: Challenges and Opportunities”.
The workshop took place at ULAB’s Research Building for students of external universities including University of Dhaka, North South University, Brac University, AIUB and IUB, said a press release issued on Monday.
Students from the universities completed the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) by ULAB. The MOOC focuses on the promotion of diversity and tolerance.
During the workshop, Tasaffy Hossain, founder and coordinator of Bonhishikha - unlearn gender, presented an interactive lecture on “Let’s Talk About Power” and Assistant Prof Abantee Harun of ULAB’s General Education Department later presented a lecture on “Diversity and Tolerance”.
A discussion took place between students and facilitators too. The event was part of an ongoing project by CES at ULAB.
In 2021, the CES project was ranked 39 in the world under the Ethical Value Category by the WURI Ranking for Global Universities.
