The first day of the Dhaka Lit Fest 2019 began with a spiritual session of morning songs of Lalon.
Members of Snigdha Sadhu Sangha, a cultural organization oriented towards culture welfare, performed the songs.

The session began at 9am on Thursday at the lawn of Bangla Academy and continued till 9:45am.
The other sessions of the day will run until 7:30pm.
The day's sessions include “Fiction: Resistance or Refuge?" by Monica Ali at 12pm, “Memorable Moments: My Life in Theatre” by former cultural affairs minister and renowned actor Asaduzzaman Noor at 6:30pm and the festival will announce the Gemcon Literary Awards winners at 4pm.
