The board of directors of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), on Wednesday accepted the resignation of its managing director Kazi Sanaul Hoq.
He submitted his resignation letter during a board meeting on October 8, citing personal reasons, said a DSE press release issued on Wednesday.
Earlier, he joined the DSE after his tenure as the managing director of state-run Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) on February 9 earlier this year, and was appointed for three years.
Sources said there was disagreement among the DSE board members over his appointment as the bourse's managing director.
Their arguments were raised during the October 8 board meeting, but most independent directors, including the DSE chairman, was said to be on Sanaul's side.
