The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has decided to remove contract charges for all trade, but has decided to keep commission charges on bulk and foreign trade the same.

The port city bourse has however increased commissions on normal trade to a flat 0.023%.

According to an official statement from CSE, the Board of Directors of bourse made the decisions in a meeting on Wednesday.

Currently, there is contract charge of Tk2 on any transaction, while there was a commission between 0.013% and 0.018% for normal trade depending on the size of the transaction. The commission on bulk and foreign trade is at 0.004% for transactions over Tk50 lakh, with no commission on transactions below this amount.
