Use of sanitizer and other protective measures must be taken to ensure safety of banks’ officials
Bangladesh Bank on Sunday asked all scheduled banks to ensure adequate hygiene for their employees over the banks’ transaction counters in an effort to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
The central bank issued a circular to the managing directors and CEOs of banks in this regard.
Use of sanitizer and other protective measures must be taken to ensure safety of banks’ officials, according to the circular.
As per the circular, bank managements should take immediate steps to supply the necessary hand sanitizer, masks and hand gloves at all bank branches.
Considering the gravity of the pandemic situation, customers are particularly encouraged to opt for online banking instead of physical presence at banks, the circular adds.
