The recruitment examination for the senior officer (general) posts at five out of eight banks and financial institutions will be held on January 12, said the central bank on Tuesday.
The above statement was mentioned in a notice signed by Md Mosharraf Hossain Khan, a general manager and member secretary of Bankers Selection Committee at Bangladesh Bank.
Out of the eight banks and financial institutions scheduled for the recruitment examination, five will hold the MCQ test for recruiting senior officers on the scheduled time. The recruitment test of the other three banks – Sonali, Janata and Rupali Bank Ltd – has been postponed following the High Court’s stay; their exam date and time will be announced when the Supreme Court gives its directive

The one-hour MCQ test worth 100 marks, by the five banks and financial institutions, will start from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at different centres in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) will recruit 39 employees, Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) will recruit 351, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RKUB) will recruit 231, Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) will recruit 70, and Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) will recruit one employee.
Previously, a combined recruitment test of eight state-owned banks and financial institutions for 1,663 posts was scheduled to be held on January 12. However, the High Court, on January 7, stayed the recruitment examination of Sonali, Rupali and Janata Bank Ltd.
Sonali Bank was going to recruit 527 employees, while the Janata and Rupali were going to recruit 161 and 283 employees, respectively.
