Awal Khan likely to become BASIC Bank MD

Muhammad Awal Khan, former managing director (MD) of state-run Bangladesh Krishi Bank, is likely to be appointed as the MD of state-run BASIC Bank. The term of current BASIC Bank MD Khondokar Md Iqbal will expire at the end of this month and the new appointment to the post is likely to be announced today, according to officials of the Financial Institutions Division. Khondokar Md Iqbal joined BASIC Bank as Managing Director (MD) in October, 2014. According to the summary, Muhammad Awal Khan, who retired from the MD post of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, will have his new undertaking as the BASIC Bank MD for three years.
