Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid 2020 is an electric powerhouse

The 2020 model is available at Continental Motors and will set you back around Tk2.7 crore.

Porsche makes some of the greatest driver's cars in the world and has just started making some of the best luxury SUVs, and it appears like the company can do no wrong.

The Porsche Cayenne was the pioneer and is largely regarded as the best-performing premium SUV available today as if that weren't enough, Porsche also sells its Cayenne in a hybrid version.

It may be environmentally friendly, but it's also very quick. An electric hybrid motor and a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine work together under the hood of the E-Hybrid to produce a combined 455 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.

That's sufficient for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds.

The twin-turbo V8 engine and hybrid system in the Turbo S model produce a whopping 670 horsepower and a peak speed of 183 mph.

The E-Hybrid lineup offers more than just performance; they are also excellent cruisers, useful family vehicles, and quite good off-road vehicles. The Range Rover Hybrid and the Volvo XC90 Hybrid are just a couple of the competitors for the 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid.

Although it has additional standard equipment like LED headlights and Porsche adaptive suspension dampers, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has a lower curb weight than the rest of the lineup. A staggered wheel size, standard 4D chassis control, and an integrated 3.6 kW charger are now included with the E-Hybrid.

The front end of the 2020 Cayenne E-Hybrid is completely redesigned and has standard LED headlights. The roof spoiler is a modest addition to the elegant side profile. The E-Hybrid rides on a pair of conventional 19-inch wheels, but Porsche now offers a set of 22-inch wheels for the first time. A motorized rear hatch, power-folding mirrors, rear privacy glass, and twin single-tube tailpipes are among the exterior features. Quad exhaust outlets are present on the Turbo S.

The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is among the best in its class for interior room. Premium materials have been used throughout the cabin, and as expected from a Porsche, everything exudes quality and expert craftsmanship.

However, the sloping back inhibits rearward view, but visibility out the front is superb. Despite sitting high, the driver has a comfortable and adjustable driving posture that can be tailored to the demands of most drivers.

The front passengers are provided with a set of supportive bucket seats that are upholstered in plush leather by Porsche. The Cayenne E-Hybrid has adequate room for five adults to sit comfortably, and taller passengers should have enough room for their long legs and towering heights.

The infotainment system, a powerful audio system, belongs in every premium SUV. The Cayenne E-basic Hybrid's system does a commendable job and comes with commonplace features like voice-activated online navigation, Bluetooth streaming, and wireless internet access. Although a Bose surround sound system is also available, the base audio setup comprises 10 speakers with 150-watt power output. Overall, this is a positive experience, and the infotainment system is quick and simple to use.

Engine and Transmission

One should not assume that these vehicles are slow just because they are called "E-Hybrids." The 2020 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that generates 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.

For a total power output of 455 hp and a staggering 516 lb-ft of torque, this system is enhanced by an electric motor with 134 horsepower available.

In contrast, the Turbo S variant has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre engine and an electric hybrid system that together creates 670 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque.

An eight-speed automatic transmission distributes this power to all four wheels enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds in a straight line and reach a top speed of 252 km/h.

One of the greatest handling SUVs available is renowned across the automotive industry as being built on the Cayenne platform.

Porsche struck the mark with this vehicle because it successfully strikes a balance between surprisingly agile handling capabilities and on-road comfort.

Although the E-Hybrid is 215 to 260 kilograms heavier than its gas-only brothers, this does not affect how nimble it is.

The response time of the steering is quite good for a vehicle its size and weight.

The hybrid is discernible when maneuvering in some confined spaces, but the AWD system always maintains control.

Thanks to the additional power provided by the electric motor, corner exit speeds are incredible.

Owning a Porsche is a dream for many, and nothing really gets any better than the Cayenne when it comes to SUVs. If you have the budget for it, getting the Cayenne over its competitors is simply a no-brainer.
