Buet signs MoU with Walton

On January 18 at the Buet Council Building, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on behalf of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Satya Prasad Majumder and on behalf of Walton DG-Tech Industries Ltd by Chairman SM Rezaul Alam. 

Prof Dr Muhammad Anisuzzaman Talukder, director of Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE) of Buet and Golam Murshed, managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC were present in the MoU signing ceremony, reads a press release.

Through this agreement, Walton has announced to set up a lab at Buet to jointly work on research and development of electronics and technology products made in Bangladesh. 

Walton will provide related equipment to set up the lab. Buet teachers and students will be able to do effective research on Walton products in the lab. 

This will bring about a revolutionary change in the economic development and technological advancement of the country. 

Walton also presented a check for Tk10 lakh to Buet for three Masters Fellowships.

All the Deans, Heads, Directors of different departments and offices of the University and senior officials of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC and Walton DG-Tech Industries Limited were also present on the occasion in compliance with the hygiene rules.
