Closing ceremony of ‘Banglalink Learn from the Startups 2.0’ held

This year, sessions of Learn from the Startups were conducted by ANTT Robotics Ltd., a startup company working on robotics and IoT solutions.

The second season of ‘Banglalink Learn from the Startups’ is a program which is designed to give undergraduate students an opportunity to work with and learn from top startups in the country, has been completed officially, according to a press release. 

A virtual panel discussion titled "Driving Digital Transformation by Developing Entrepreneurial Mindsets" was held on the occasion of its closing ceremony today.  

Mohibul Hasan Chowdhoury, Honorable Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education joined the program as the chief guest, while Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, dean and professor of North South University, Dr Mohammad Rakibul Islam, dean of Science and Technical Education, Islamic University of Technology and Monzula Morshed, chief human resources officer of Banglalink were present as panelists. 

The closing note was delivered by Taimur Rahman, chief corporate and regulatory affairs officer, Banglalink. 

This year, sessions of Learn from the Startups were conducted by ANTT Robotics Ltd., a startup company working on robotics and IOT solutions. 

Two virtual webinars on innovation, idea generation, design thinking, prototype building, investor pitch, client management and other topics were held as part of the program as well. 

Banglalink affiliated with North South University, Islamic University of Technology, Military Institute of Science and Technology, American International University Bangladesh, Asian University for Women and United International University for recruiting enthusiastic participants. 

Around 100 students from these universities participated in the program through their respective career clubs. 

Mohibul Hasan Chowdhoury said: "Banglalink is endeavoring to prepare our youngsters for the challenges they will face as professionals or entrepreneurs in future through such programs. This is an example of how the corporate sector can contribute to youth empowerment by opening up learning opportunities for them. I wish this program all the success and expect to see the participants among future leaders of Digital Bangladesh."

Taimur Rahman said: "Learn from the Startups is one of our programs that have been launched as part our objective to help talented university students develop key competencies. In this program, they get the opportunity to learn startup dynamics, idea generation, market implementation and other important aspects of the startup ecosystem from experienced entrepreneurs. This learning will surely enable them to enter the corporate sector or begin an entrepreneurial journey with more confidence and courage in future."
