Ene Dao: A startup that shops for you

Ene Dao uses social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, as well as direct calls, to take orders from customers and communicate prices

With the pandemic raging on, online shopping has increased exponentially. Ene Dao, an on-demand online delivery service, helps people find everything that they are looking for, from groceries to even cattle.

Starting from August 2020, the online platform is not a regular ”help-yourself” service like most, where one would search for their needs endlessly. Instead, Ene Dao presents the customer with a vast range of possible questions that they may have, off the bat, each inquiry further diving into an informative and organized page of solutions.

Tahmid Huda Labib, CEO and founder of Ene Dao, spoke on the online service’s success: “Ene Dao is an on-demand delivery service for all types of household requirements including imported and local packaged food products, baby items, cosmetics, electric appliances, toiletries, baking materials, stationeries and even toys.” 

Ene Dao uses social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, as well as direct calls, to take orders from customers and communicate prices.

The multipurpose platform delivers to all areas with the exception of Jatrabari, Bongshal, Sutrapur, Gandaria, Babu Bajar, and Savar.

“We started our journey from being a personal shopper to  gradually establishing ourselves as a multi-vendor platform. Ene Dao is now a fully operational multi-vendor platform with more than 120 vendors, including official distributors and brands consisting of Philips, Baseus, Oppo, Unilever, Benckeiser, TVS motors, Xiaomi, etc. We plan to onboard more local brands and authorized products on our platform. We are still operating with our website. Our maximum standard delivery time is within 72 hours”, he went on to say.

They also harbor other authorized distributors, which they source from directly, as well as from selected vendors at Dhaka.

“We strive to meet our customers’ requirements to give them the sense of having a personal shopper. We always mention existing options available in the market and send them real time images with prices, so that our customers can make better decisions regarding their purchases," Tahmid added.   

If that’s not enough, Ene Dao has its own gift-delivery service, through which anyone can send cakes, flowers, chocolates and anything else that they desire for their loved ones.

To order, customers can directly visit their website at “www.enedao.com.bd” and place orders. They also take orders directly via phone/sms, assisting the population who is not yet accustomed to tech, although  they receive most of their orders on  Facebook.

“This is one of our favourite services. We cater to your every need and customize your gift-items as per your preference. With Ene Dao, surprising the loved ones has become easier,” relayed  Faiza Farha, co-founder of Ene Dao.

“Our job at Ene Dao is to make all our customers happy at the end of every order. To ensure that, we have our own quality control team that focuses mainly on the product and quality. Alongside, we have our own delivery team for prompt response. As a result, we are able to deliver goods to our customers within the shortest possible time frame. Our main goal in the long run is to establish ourselves as the go-to platform for all quality products. We have plans to bring all top brands under our platform” informed the founders. 

During the pandemic, their main products will mostly be  grocery based. 

Ene Dao is working with the top distributors to bring in special ingredients and items that are difficult to obtain. Additionally, they have sold various  kitchenware, home accessories, baking items and ingredients.

Ene Dao has also officially initiated a  delivery wing for commercial purposes. Even though it is mostly to cater for all e-commerce deliveries, a personal butler service is also being beta-tested,  to help run personal errands.

“We plan to expand our product range to cater to all types of everyday needs with authentic and authorized products only. Better service, better products, and being reliable are what we aim to provide for our customers.

When asked about their goals for the future, the founders said that they intend to make Ene Dao a go-to platform for your daily needs.

“Our emphasis will be on reducing delivery time as much as possible, opening our own dedicated app and expanding with a delivery wing to cater to the ever growing e-commerce industry,” they concluded.
