Quader disclosed that Bangladesh has handed loans to debt-burdened Sudan and Sri Lanka

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday declared that a debt-ridden nation 12 years ago, Bangladesh has now become a lending country by making unprecedented development.

“The world is stunned by witnessing the outstanding success of a changed Bangladesh. It has now become a loan-providing country,” he announced during an extended meeting of Dhaka district AL at the party’s Bangabandhu Avenue central office.

Quader disclosed that Bangladesh has handed loans to debt-burdened Sudan and Sri Lanka, even during the coronavirus crisis.

According to Quader, the BNP is suffering from jealousy as the country continues to march ahead under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Furthermore, he added that Bangladesh is now a bright country of huge potential, overcoming various conspiracies and adversities.

“Bangladesh stands with its head hung high by making progress in every index of its economy,” he said, adding that the country’s economic growth will further rise once certain ongoing mega-projects are completed.

The Awami League general secretary urged the party leaders and workers to prepare for the next general election, alerting everyone that the polls are not far away — only two years are now left.

He also asserted that everyone should work in unison, shunning all differences to strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina.

“AL President Sheikh Hasina is in a very tough stance regarding organizational discipline”, he said. “New committees should be formed at the ward, union, and upazila levels by holding councils, and district councils should be held”.

“As the second wave of the coronavirus rages on, indoor councils could be arranged, if required,” he went on to say.
