Handicraft products made by modern technology, besides use of hands, will be able to get cash incentives against export from now.

The central bank on Thursday issued a notice saying that the handicraft products such as hogla, sugarcane and garment wastage, and coconut coir made using modern technology will be able to get cash incentive against export.
The Bangladesh Bank notice said that there should be direct involvement of physical work with the use of modern technology equipment in manufacturing activities.
In order to use the machinery and physical work, the registration from the supporting authorities is mandatory, as per the notice.
The government in September 2019 announced cash incentives against export of products under 37 categories, including handicraft.
