Xiaomi announced the launch of the Redmi 9 Dual Camera Version, providing new features in their number series line-up of devices.
The device will be available soon across authorized Mi Stores, partner stores, and retail channels at Tk12,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. It will be available in three colors: Sporty Orange, Carbon Black, and Sky Blue.
Ziauddin Chowdhury, the country general manager of Xiaomi Bangladesh, described the Redmi series as combining improved performance with a premium design for an entry-level smartphone: “Our aim with the Redmi 9 is to further democratize the technology we have developed for the budget segment.”
The Redmi 9 Dual Camera Version features the Aura Iconic Design, with a 6.53” IPS HD+ display for an immersive viewing experience, said a press release. The display comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.
The camera has an AI dual camera with a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor with LED flash, and a 5MP sensor for the selfie camera. Features aiming to improve the photography experience include a kaleidoscope, document scanner, and palm shutter.
The device features AI face unlock and, like its predecessors, supports dual 4G standby SIM cards with a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For performance, the Dual Camera has a MediaTek Helio G35, an octa-core gaming chipset optimized to 2.3GHz. This, paired with a 5000mAh high capacity enhanced battery, leads to a 25% longer battery life cycle, said a press release.
The device comes with P2i water-resistant coating to protect against accidental splashes, a preinstalled screen protector, and a textured rear to prevent fingerprints.
