Shakti Foundation organized meal feeding programs and provided food to 100,000 hungry people across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, as part of its effort to help the Covid-19 pandemic and flood affected people, said a press release.
The organization made the charity under the initiative ‘Ek lokkho ahar, Ek lokkho Hashi’, with the fund by its employee and other people’s donations.
The release said cornavirus pandemic and the flood in the country’s majority districts deprived people of the joy of Eid-ul_Azha.
Inspired by the strong desire of the Shakti staffs to stand by the people, the Foundation took this initiative, while Robi Telecom was the media partner, it added.
On August 3, the foodstuffs was delivered to 396 branches of the Shakti Foundation across the country and reached numerous orphanages, orphanages for disabled children, old age homes and ashrams for helpless women.
The stuffs also distributed in flood affected areas of Tangail, Gazipur, Jamalpur, Gopalganj, Munshiganj, Pabna, Sylhet, Sunamganj and other areas.
Besides, the poor people, who lost their income due to corona crisis across the country received the food.
