Private financial institution IPDC Finance Limited donated Tk2 crore to Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight Covid-19 pandemic.
Md Abdul Karim, chairman of IPDC Finance and former principal secretary, handed over the cheque on behalf of IPDC Finance at the Prime Minister's Office in the capital recently, said a press release.
Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the prime minister accepted the cheque on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who joined the handover ceremony herself via video conference and thanked the delegation for coming forward in support of the adversely affected marginal income population.
In association with various trustworthy organizations, IPDC, so far has been providing food and supplies across the country.
IPDC also introduced products and solutions such as Manobota Deposit scheme, wherein IPDC provides one month food supply for an underprivileged family against the deposit of Tk1 lakh.
