Employees of Tom Tailor Sourcing Ltd's local liaison office will donate a day's salary to Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) to support the local RMG industry at this crucial period.
In an email sent on Wednesday by Azam Chowdhury to BGMEA president Rubana Huq, it was stated that Tom Tailor Group was committed to its suppliers and was doing its best to mitigate the situation amid coronavirus pandemic.
"We believe no (one) other than BGMEA can work best for the support of RMG industry. That is why Tom Tailor Bangladesh Office has decided to donate employees' one-day salaries to BGMEA. We know it is not a big amount but if some other local or retailers follow, we believe you should be able to do real good work for the industry under this critical situation," the email also read.
