5G will play an important role in fulfilling the dream of ''Digital Bangladesh'' by bridging the ''Digital Gap'' in Bangladesh, said Zhang Zhengjun, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd.
He made the remarks at a panel discussion on the last day of the 16th 'Basis SoftExpo 2020' in Dhaka on Sunday, said a press release.
Emphasizing on Digital Infrastructural improvements, Zhang Zhengjun said more and more towers are needed in Bangladesh to get ready for 5G properly.
"Without infrastructural development, the potential of 5G cannot be explored entirely. If structures were not ready in China, could Alibaba come into play?" he added.
Zhang urged to the government that they should take necessary steps to set up a certain zone for local and foreign companies in RMG and other industries in order to take the digital industry forward.
