The biggest cable and conductor manufacturing company in Bangladesh, Eastern Cables Limited, held its 33rd annual general meeting on Saturday at their factory premises.
The meeting was presided over by Md Rois Uddin, chairman of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering (BSEC) and chairman of Eastern Cables Limited. The opening speech was given by Engineer Ushamoy Chakma, director of Eastern Cables Limited.
At the meeting, it was discussed that the company successfully paid Taka 14.91 crore in taxes, VAT, and duties to the government treasury for fiscal year 2018-2019, and the chairman of the company declared a 5% profit for shareholders of the company.
AKM Shamsul Arefin, additional secretary of Industries Ministry, Directors of Eastern Cables Limited, Shanaj Parveen (Rani), Md Mofizur Rahman, Md. Emdadul Haque, Representative of BSEC Abul Khaer Sarder, and Secretary of BSEC and Eastern Cables Limited, Humayun Kabir, were present at the meeting.
