NBR officials said that the tax fair was festive on the sixth day, as they got remarkable response from the visitors and taxpayers alike.

Long queues were seen at the fair venues across the country, they said, while adding that the number of visitors and service seekers would increase further in the last day of the fair.

The NBR has been arranging the fair since 2010 with the aim to provide individuals with opportunities to have TIN, submit tax returns, and pay taxes in a hassle-free environment.

The weeklong tax fair in the capital as well as in divisional headquarters is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

This year, the income tax fair is being held in 120 places across the country. The fairs at the district and upazila levels are scheduled to be held for four days and two days respectively.

The last date of return submission is November 30.
