In collaboration with Mastercard, LankaBangla Finance Limited yesterday announced the launch of its first-ever EMV-enabled contactless credit cards (Titanium, Gold and Classic) in Bangladesh.
The launch further strengthens Mastercard’s commitment to the push behind cashless payments and to provide safer, faster and simpler payments options for consumers in Bangladesh, said a press release.
Rafeza Akhter Kanta, DGM of Bangladesh Bank's payment system department, was present at the event as special guest.
The EMV-enabled contactless Mastercard credit cards will make the payments experience quicker and more seamless by allowing cardholders to simply tap the card in front of a card reader or PoS terminal to complete the transaction, thereby eliminating any need for swiping or inserting the card into the terminal.
