The new Nokia 2.2 is priced at Tk10,999 and Nokia 3.2 at Tk13,499
Nokia on Tuesday launched two smartphones for the local market targeting lower and middle class consumers.
HMD Global Bangladesh, a Finish-subsidiary company owning Nokia brand, launched Nokia 2.2 priced at Tk10,999 and Nokia 3.2 at Tk13,499.
Raquibul Kabir, managing director of Union Group, Syed Mostahidul Hoq, managing director of Daraz Bangladesh, Iffat Zahur, marketing lead of HMD Global Bangladesh, were present at the event, among others, at Le Vinchi hotel in the capital.
Powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 429 mobile platform, Nokia 3.2 comes with 3GB/32GB memory configuration. Nokia 2.2 is powered by the quad core MediaTek A22 CPU chipset, which is designed to deliver battery optimization.
Farhan Rashid, head of business of HMD Global, Bangladesh, said: “We believe that the latest innovations in the industry should be made available for everyone. With the Nokia 2.2, which includes features like biometric face unlock with liveliness detection for extra security, AI imaging, discreet selfie-notch, Google Lens and dedicated Google Assistant button, we aim to revolutionize the way consumers interact with the phone.”
“Nokia 3.2 has the largest display we have ever put in a smartphone at this price and will let the consumers do a great deal more with their phone without straining their eyes. Nokia 3.2 comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device for secure access. It has a notification light – the power button that comes to life to alert you of notifications, so that you know when to unlock your phone and check your apps”, he added.
